READING John 3:1-21

Nicodemus was considered a righteous man, and he was extremely knowledgeable in the way of Scripture. Yet Jesus had to lay out His message to Nicodemus in the simplest possible terms. Sometimes, it’s good for us to hear these words again and be reminded why Jesus came.

God loves His creation. He loves it so much, He sent Jesus. Anyone who believes that Jesus is who He says He is will live with Him forever – now, in this life on earth, and later, when our physical bodies are gone. Jesus didn’t come to judge us and make us swim around in guilt and shame. He came to be the way to salvation and a permanent hope for everyone on earth.

What a lovely message for God’s creation to rest in.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
