READING Genesis 12:1-4 and 15:1-6

If you’re looking for an example of unabashed faith, look no further than Abram. He wasn’t a young man when he was called to leave everything he’d ever known to follow God’s mysterious call. All he had was a promise – but that was enough. He uprooted his entire life and went. Even in moments when he didn’t know how the promise would be fulfilled – when the reality of life looked very different than the promise he’d been given – he trusted that God would make good on His promise. And as He always does, God did - even when the circumstances seemed more than impossible.

And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” (Genesis 15:5)
