Actually, I like it.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Trash gets picked up on Wednesday, and Recycling is picked up on Friday.

Use the green and blue bins provided by the city and set them out at your street’s collection point the night before pickup. If you need replacement bins, need to schedule a bulk pick up, or the city missed your bins, contact Baltimore DPW or call 311

  • Good question! Parking can be tough in our neighborhood. Be sure to look at all parking signs before parking. Make sure your car doesn’t stick out past the building line or block access to crosswalks or fire hydrants. If your street is part of the residential permit program, you can obtain a parking permit from the Parking Authority. Ravens and Orioles home games will make parking harder, so plan accordingly. Honestly, getting a parking ticket in Baltimore is kind of a rite of passage.

  • Package theft happens frequently. Here’s a few ways to keep your packages safe:

    1. Schedule deliveries for days you’ll be home.

    2. Ask a friend or neighbor who is home to grab your package until you get home.

    3. Have your packages delivered to a lcoal business (with their permission)

    4. Use a PO Box from the UPS Store.

    5. Install a package delivery box next to your stoop for secure deliveries.

  • If you have an emergency or witness a life or property-threatening situation, call 911.

If you need mental health support, help with bills, or help with food or shelter, call 211.

If you need help with city services, call 311.

  • Baltimore has a great city services program called 311. They can help you with broken lights, trash pickups, parking complaints, reporting icy conditions, fallen trees, potholes, and more. You can call them at 311 or submit requests via their website or app.

  • Most of South Baltimore is district 11, so our councilman is Zach Blanchard. You can reach his office here.
