What We Believe

The Foundry Way

SLOWED DOWN SPIRITUALITY

We operate out of a relationship with Jesus and create intentional rhythms to hear from God (and teach people HOW to do that). We aim for long-term life transformation rather than quick fixes.

INDIVIDUAL AND INSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY

We refuse to be something on the outside that we are not on the inside. We aim to see the inner life transformed and operating out of integrity.

BENEATH THE SURFACE DISCIPLESHIP

We're committed to root causes, self-awareness, and living in the new family of Jesus - not just external metrics (transformation>information).

HEALTHY COMMUNITY

We're committed to creating space and learning tools and practices that help us love others like we're loved by Jesus.

A “MULTI” FAMILY

We pursue life operating as a multi-family”. Multi-ethnic, multi-economic, multi-generational, multi-season of life family.

A SENT PEOPLE

Every person is in full-time ministry. We exist to love and serve those beyond our walls.

Our Values

Ultimate Identity

We are uniquely, creatively, and wonderfully made by God. Our ultimate identity is found in a relationship with Jesus, and our lives are not whole until we have experienced that hope. Jesus revealed our identity through both grace and truth. In Christ, there is neither cheap grace nor legalism.
Ephesians 2:10, John 15:12-17

Radical Generosity

We exist to love and serve those beyond our walls. Service is a way of life, and we believe each has gifts they can offer both in our church and in the community around us each day.
Ephesians 4:11-12, Philippians 2:5-7

Intentional Community

We grow closer to God and serve the world best when we do it together. Thus, we establish intentional rhythms that help us make time to support & challenge one another.
John 17:20-26, Proverbs 27:17

Multiplying Leadership

We will be a sending place. We will help people discover their unique gifts and abilities, and equip people to reflect their hope in Christ where they live, work, and play.
1 Peter 2:9-12, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8

Statement of Beliefs

God

God is the creator, sustainer, and redeemer of everything that exists.

Jesus

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead.

The Holy Spirit

God’s Spirit is present and active in the world.

The Bible

The Bible is both our authority and our guide.

Sin

All of humanity has been marred by sin.

Grace

God’s grace is the only way to have a relationship with God.

The Church

The church is not a place to go; it’s who we are!
The Church is the family of God. We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:1-16; 1 Peter 2:9-12

Salvation

Admitting Jesus’ identity, and being forever changed.
